Many people believe that squeezing pimples gets rid of them, but this is definitely not the case. It actually could make it worse. Squeezing can be a very painful process and sometimes you may not completely seal the deal. If the entire puss is not squeezed out, then the pimple is sure to come back and usually twice as bad. This can sometimes lead to an infection and even long-term scarring. And do you really need to give up your favorite candy bar and excellent fried chicken your mom makes? NO! It has not been proven that these things cause acne. However, specific food allergies can cause acne. So, be sure not to eat anything that could possibly cause an allergic reaction. If you do, you may be able to reduce breakouts and this would be a simple acne and pimple treatment. If you are worrying about your big date Friday night or your exam tomorrow, it will not cause your face to break out with blemishes. If stress caused blemishes, everyone would have them at all times. The stores would be sold out of all blemish removing products because we would all buy them to attempt to get rid of our pimples! Although, medicines that treat depression or stress can have side effects that do cause acne. Stress itself does not though. It is also not true that washing your face as much as possible will keep those pimples away. Yes, it is recommended to wash your face regularly with a mild cleanser or soap, twice a day, but it will not cause your acne to disappear. If you wash your face too much, you may irritate your face. If you already have acne, then you could just simply make it worse by washing excessively. Girls, it’s okay to wear your make-up! If you do not use make-up excessively then there should be no problem. If you are worried about it though, you can find some acne fighting ingredients in some make-up. Though, it would be recommended to wash your face every night before bed to remove the excess make-up. Does exposure to the sun really eliminate acne? Exposure to the sun makes your skin become dry and irritated, which in turn, can cause long-term skin effects. Yes, getting a tan can reduce the visibility of pimples, but it does not eliminate them. Definitely use sunscreen when going out in the sun to reduce any of the long-term effects of skin cancer. Should use your more medicine to make your acne better? It is not at all recommended. Using more medicine than your should can actually irritate your skin and make your acne become worse. Many things that are believed to cause acne really do not. If you have a strong problem with acne, you should talk to a doctor to get some proper advice on acne and pimple treatments or research the over-the-counter products to find one that will work the best in a safe way. |
